42F (King's Lynn) Squadron life

Venture Adventure since 1939

Parade nights begin at 19:00.
Cadets arrive and register - 3822's are checked
Cadet are then formed up into flights and given the chance to practise drill as a flight or as a squadron.
First Parade is then performed and the ensign is raised.

Cadets are then told of the evenings activities and dismissed into their relevant groups. See below for some examples of what we do on a squadron evening.

Cadet are given a break half way through the evening , before continuing on with the second half of activities.
Final parade is taken and the ensign brought down, the cadets are informed of any important information and then dismissed.

Classifications
All cadets study towards classifications to enable them to progress through cadets, these lessons also count towards BTEC's that cadets may opt into taking . These also require  further study . Lectures are   given to enable them to gain these extra qualifications.



Sport

The squadron takes part in sport, ranging from running and football ,  to athletics, swimming or rugby.

The squadron regularly makes use of the local facilities at Lynn sport

Adventure Training

These include initiative exercises, both practical and theoretical. These exercises encourage the cadets to work as a team as well as developing individual leadership skills.

Projects

Projects evenings on the squadron range from airfield model projects to the history project and learning how to operate the flight simulator.
